HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BUILD A GENUINE CUSTOM HOME? — Whether planning on building a 2,500 ft², one-story or a 7,200 ft² summer home, Genuine Custom Homes has built a solid reputation by placing priority on service and quality AND value. We understand the importance of seeking out price… but before we can set realistic cost expectations for YOUR home, we’ll need to obtain a bit more information. While no two homeowners are alike, nor the site conditions presented, at Genuine we typically build homes from $200/ft² and up with most recently between $600,000 to $2,000,000 (not including the property). However, YOUR price per square foot will merely be the cost of the entire home (and all of it’s features) divided by the living footage. With custom homebuilding, EVERY homeowner we build for has a unique price per square foot due to many different factors.

WHAT ARE GENUINE’S STANDARD FEATURES? — What all’s included? EVERYTHING you need, but not always everything you want. Surprised to hear?? Some builders try and emotionally steer buyers by showcasing $1MM+ model homes, but what if the budget is closer to $750K? Others try promoting select features or pre-set levels and pre-designed floor plans? Sound very custom? We don’t think so and why our approach is so different… At GCH, we focus on helping you maximize EVERY detail for your home without losing sight of your IDEAL budget. Just imagine how the design and details of your own custom home can be for YOUR views, YOUR trees, YOUR topography all while keeping as many of the luxury features discerning buyers like YOU want.
I HAVE A BUDGET, CAN I BUILD A GENUINE CUSTOM HOME? — Working within a budget framework? Great, most do and it’s important to share this with us early on so we can share examples of homes we’ve built (within YOUR range). Fun fact… in 2014, we built a home for $142.77/ft². How do you think building costs have been impacted since then? Well, since then our latest homeowner’s (under construction) ranged from: $201/ft² — $278/ft² and that just because we have such low overhead (no spec homes, models, sales people, etc.). Whether budget conscientious, or vision focused, we'll be working closely with the Designer to come up with a home plan that best aligns with your wants and need AND your budget.
